Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables and houseplants, along with soil, mulch, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries often grow part of their own stock and carry varieties that do well in the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

Traffic in Naples peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Great selection of rare and unusual plants. Marc is very knowledgeable about what he sells. One of my favorite stops at plant festivals and the Calusa hosted annual sales events. A Florida gem.

We have been buying from Calusa Palms Nursery for several years now, both during his on site sales and at events such as Edison Ford. They are always helpful and willing to answer questions. Their prices are reasonable and their plants are healthy. We can always find something new or unusual for our landscape. We are looking forward to their next sale in the SWFL area!

Incredibly rude staff, skip this place. I needed a question answered and was met with hostility as if I was inconveniencing them.

This is a wonderful place. I first bought plants here about three years ago. They sell rare plants that you canβt find at a Loweβs or that type of store. Trees, flowering shrubs and much more. The results are absolutely beautiful. One of the trees I planted was a Milky Way tree which bears unusual seed pods and provides a multilayered canopy of green branches full of white scented flowers. It is so wonderful to visit the area in my landscape where I have planted all of my exotics from Calusa Palms. I have been twice this summer to add some more plants and I am now planting an entire new area to create an exotic butterfly garden. You have to go on the website and view the list and then research what you actually want. When you have questions, the proprietor is incredibly knowledgeable about plants and what will work or not in a given area. Wonderful Naples local nursery.
